Joe James

Joe is a senior designer with over 30 years of experience in a wide range of projects including: Bridge Design for pedestrian, roadway, and railroad as well as Drainage Structures for both roadway and railroad loading. Joseph has extensive experience Designing and Detailing concrete, both architectural and structural as well as steel structures.  He has experience writing Visual Basic macros within Excel, AutoCad and Microstation to assist in rapid and precise integration of excel based calculations into designs and drawings.  Given his programming and Microstation expertise, Joe was asked to create and maintain a bridge design and drawing automation tool used by the Union Pacific Railroad.  This tool has been used to efficiently and consistently produce the bid drawings used in over five hundred bridge projects nationwide.
